Smoothbean coffee shop in Dingwall Road announces summer evening opening
From Thursday 23rd June, Smoothbean! coffee shop will remain open until 8:30pm each Thursday and Friday selling continental, British and Australian craft beers, quality wines, cider and a light food menu.
Mixing a relaxed vibe and ambiance with a selection of quality wines, craft beers, cider and a light evening food menu, Evenings @ Smoothbean! is set to be the new way to enjoy after work drinks at the end of the week.
Open for almost two years, Smoothbean! is an independent coffee shop owned by husband and wife team John and Pauline Hennessy on Dingwall Road adjacent to East Croydon station.In this time Smoothbean! has established a reputation of providing delicious speciality coffee, loose-leaf tea, breakfast, lunch, cakes, and freshly made juices.
Pauline said: “We have a beautiful light space at Smoothbean and we think people will really appreciate enjoying a quality beer or glass of wine as the weekend approaches ”
Smoothbean! will stock a selection of wines by the glass or bottle, along with a selection of craft beers, both local & continental. Cheese and charcuterie platters will be available to enjoy with drinks, as well as coffee, tea, soft drinks and cakes.
To celebrate the launch of “Evenings @ Smoothbean!”, jazz musician Robert Wilson and band “InFusion” will perform jazz inspired sounds on Thursday and Friday 23rd/24th from 5.00pm.
There will also be a beautifully restored 1948 customised Mercury Pick-up Truck approved and signed by the late George Barris on display. Barris was the designer of the “Batmobile” and the Mercury James Dean drove in “Rebel Without A Cause” as well as many other well-known cars.

Mon – Wed – 7.30am – 5.00pm
Thurs/Fri – 7.30am – 8.30pm
Sat/Sun – Closed
Wine & craft beer will be available from 12pm Monday – Friday.
