Bands, musicians and artists who want to be a part of next summer’s Purley Festival are being encouraged to apply.

Organisers took a break this year to prepare a business plan for the long term future of the event.

When the event was last held, more than 100 musicians and artists performed at the weekend finale, headlined by internationally acclaimed recording artists Shakatak and Omar.

This year’s festival has been extended to last over a whole week, which will start on June 26 and run for four days until the weekend finale.

The 2017 weekend event will take place on July 1 and July 2 at the Rotary Field, off Brighton Road, and will feature an eclectic line-up of entertainment across three distinct stages.

With a silent disco also on the agenda, Festival organisers are also on the lookout for superstar DJ as well as dance and comedy acts and children’s entertainers for the children’s area.
