New categories announced for Croydon Business Excellence Awards 2017

There will be new categories at the Croydon Business Excellence Awards 2017.

This year’s awards will be launched with a party at The View in The Whitgift Centre next Tuesday (April 25).

The completely free “big game” evening will be held in the ninth floor venue between 6pm and 8pm, and representatives from businesses based in the borough are invited to attend.

Refreshments and entertainment will be on offer at the launch event as well as the opportunity to network with people from other firms and industries.

The awards have been given a makeover for 2017, with new prize categories celebrating culture and women in business.

An all-new local business award, featuring a parallel Shop Local competition, will be launched to reward firms in each of Croydon’s six main districts.

Another new feature for this year’s awards is the appointment of business awards ambassadors, who will advise and encourage businesses throughout the awards entry process.

Katharine Glass, managing director of the organisers, White Label, said: “The 2017 Awards promise to be the best ever with new exciting new features aimed at helping Croydon’s booming business community share and celebrate their successes and achievement.

“We hope as many business people as possible join us at the launch party in The View, for a brilliant evening of fun, refreshments and networking.”
