The new PureGym in Croydon town centre is opening this week – here’s what to expect
It is based in the building on Frith Road where Riley’s snooker club used to be.
PureGym is opening its new branch in Croydon town centre tomorrow (Tuesday, February 6).
The new gym, on Frith Road, is in the building which used to be home to snooker club Riley’s.
The space has been completely transformed by the gym chain, which has more than 190 gyms in the UK.
Visitors have been able to take a sneak peek inside the venue since last Monday (January 29) – but will be able to use the facilities from 3pm on Tuesday.
There are more than 220 pieces of training equipment in the new facility – including cardio machines like cross trainers, treadmills and exercise bikes as well as strength-training kit.
Stairmasters, rowing machines, ropes and free weights are also available for fitness fanatics.
The new gym, which will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, also has a separate room for group fitness classes and will play host to more than 50 classes – including circuits, pilates and core strength – every week.
Members will be allowed to use free WiFi in the gym, with female members also having access to a “ladies only” training area.
Personal trainers will additionally be on hand to help members get the most out of their workouts.
New members who want to join are also being offered a £12.99 a month fee for the first six months, which will allow them to save £36 when compared to the usual price.
Memberships are offered on a rolling, monthly basis with members able to quit at any time.
