An underground horror maze is coming to Croydon – and it looks terrifying
Just in time for Halloween…
If you’re a fan of being made to jump out of your skin and are looking for something a bit different to do this Halloween, then you won’t want to miss this.
A new underground horror maze is coming to Croydon – and it sounds like it won’t be for the fainthearted.
Organised by XScream Events, the immersive experience “Them Below” is based around a creepy story set after the end of the First World War.
The Draven family fell on tough times, lost their home and ended up living in the tunnels and sewers below Croydon town centre.
In a fake newspaper clipping, it reads that characters Henry Draven and Emily Draven were sentenced to death by hanging for their terrible crimes of killing people in Wandle Park and eating their flesh.
Their children Charles and Judith were never found and those brave enough to go into the maze will have to hunt for them.
Apparently the children are “thought to be dangerous” and visitors will try to track them down.
Visitors will enter the maze in the basement of Five Guys, on High Street, and tickets are available now for £10 in advance and £15 on the door.
It will be open from Friday, October 18 to Saturday, November 2.
A spokesperson for XScream Events says people can expect “a brand new Halloween horror maze that will take you under the streets of Croydon”.
